Leading Edge Clinical Research



Technology has dramatically changed the practice of modern dentistry, and my office is no exception. I firmly believe that the implementation of proven technological advances in dental equipment, materials, and techniques allows me to provide my patients with optimal dental care. Through continuing education courses, literature review, and colleague interaction, my staff and I constantly strive to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in dentistry today.

Recently, I was invited to participate in leading edge research with an internationally known organization. Clinical Research Associates (CRA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1976 whose sole purpose is to improve the practice of dentistry by evaluating materials, devices, and concepts for efficacy and clinical usefulness. Findings are reported rapidly in a monthly newsletter distributed to and utilized by thousands of dentists nationwide. CRA is synonymous with top quality research, and I would guess that nearly every dentist in the U.S. is familiar with the work the organization does. CRA is affiliated with many of the top dentists nationally, and I am fortunate to be among the 400+ CRA Evaluators.

As an Evaluator, I have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience with some of the latest technology available. I view this opportunity as tremendously positive for myself and my patients. I have access to research regarding new products as they come to market, and I am able to make highly discriminate choices about the materials and techniques which are incorporated into my practice. Thus, my patients can be assured I will be aware of the latest advances in dentistry, and that I have done the research to indicate those which meet the high standard required for use in my practice.
