Dr. Benjamin Petry
Background
Born in Minneapolis and raised in Albuquerque, Dr. Ben Petry followed his heart — and a whole lot of hard work — into dentistry. After earning his undergraduate degree from Hastings College in 2018, he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 2022.
Dr. Petry is passionate about delivering advanced, comprehensive care and has undergone extensive implant training to bring more full-service solutions under one roof. He’s proud to be carrying on VFD’s long-standing tradition of the “super GP” — blending clinical excellence, technology, and patient relationships into a single, seamless experience. For Dr. Petry, the future of the practice isn’t someday — it’s happening right now.
Education
He loves getting to know his patients beyond the dental chair and believes that every person brings their own story, goals, and priorities. That’s why he’s here to listen first, then collaborate on care that fits. He’s excited to be part of a team that leads with heart and stays on the leading edge of dentistry.
Personal Interests
These days, he and his wife, Ciarra, are loving life in Lincoln as new parents to baby Beckham. You’ll often find them watching Husker games, spending time with friends and family, and soaking up the everyday joys of their new chapter together.

Changing lives through mission trips abroad
As part of the VFD team, Dr. Petry joins in the practice’s ongoing partnership with Bright Island Outreach—an organization that provides vital dental care to underserved communities in the Dominican Republic. These mission trips give team members like Dr. Petry a powerful opportunity to serve outside the walls of the practice and connect with patients in an entirely different context.
