Dr. Kendra Kozisek
Background
Dr. Kendra Kozisek is a born-and-raised Nebraskan who grew up on her family farm. Her upbringing gave her an appreciation for hard work, meaningful connections, and community- values she strives to bring to practice every day. She loves that dentistry allows her to care for patients of all ages, from young children to older adults, and especially enjoys getting to know her patients and their families. Her goal is to create a welcoming environment where every patient feels comfortable and confident in their care.
Dr. Kozisek earned her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Morningside University, where she was also a collegiate softball pitcher. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry.
Education
While pursuing her dental education, Dr. Kozisek was a Nebraska Area Health Education Center Scholar. Through the program, she received enhanced training focused on providing care in underserved communities and completed the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Basic Certificate, which emphasizes healthcare quality and safety principles. She also received Certificates of Achievement from the Nebraska Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Personal Interests
Dr. Kozisek enjoys spending time with the people she loves. She especially enjoys good conversation. She and her husband, Drew, love to travel together, especially to National Parks. In her free time, Dr. Kozisek also enjoys reading and gardening.

Changing lives through mission trips abroad
As part of the VFD team, Dr. Kozisek joins in the practice’s ongoing partnership with Bright Island Outreach—an organization that provides vital dental care to underserved communities in the Dominican Republic. These mission trips give team members like Dr. Kozisek a powerful opportunity to serve outside the walls of the practice and connect with patients in an entirely different context. It’s a reflection of the practice’s core belief: that everyone deserves excellent dentistry, and care has the power to change lives.
